I've removed grips before but I don't want to damage the heated grip so whats the trick to getting the heated grip on the clutch side off intact?

The clutch side is secured to the handle bar by two tiny screws. Remove the headlight switch pod, then peel back the grip a little bit and it will expose the two screws, they are a small Allen key if I remember right.
