Lately I've noticed my neutral light flickering. Does this signal some impending electrical disaster or does it indicate a loose connection or that the bulb is going to crap out? I don't have any doodads to tell me what my voltage is...reckon I should invest in one of those since everyone seems to have electrical issues at one time or another | ||

There was a thread that I saved on my computer. I will try to post it up here later when I get done work. Connector needs to be either cleaned or replaced if I remember correctly. It is connected behind the belt guard plastics where the tension pulley is. Mine has the same problem and I haven't checked it yet but will eventually. Do you need to pull the clutch in to start the bike? When my light doesn't work I need to pull in the clutch if the light is on I do not have to pull the clutch when in neutral. The neutral indicator is simple like the oil pressure sender. If you short the one wire to the engine case, it will light up. That means that any break in the insulation of the wire that allows it to touch ground will light it up too. Sounds to me like a wire rubbed through somewhere. Poke at the wire and watch the light. | ||

Mine did the same thing, it turned out that the connector was loose. |
