Where is the other end of the wire for the crank position sensor on an 08 xb12x ?

Also, suggestions for routing on the two wires ( brake light?) under the seat, meant to connect , but now 2 -3" gap between em...

If the brake light wires won't reach after you installed the shroud, you had to route something wrong.

The crank position plug is on the front of the engine down by the chin spoiler. Is that the end you are referring to?

Post up some pics if you can. Either I, or someone else can compare them to what ours looks like.
