It seems the best aftermarket windshield available for the uly is he madstad. After looking at their website I realized the windshield includes a new flyscreen that only comes in a gloss black.

I have the blue plastics that I was going to swap to either black or yellow. The gloss black on the new flyscreen looks really poor in my opinion and does not match the buell factory black.

What is the next best windshield?

Is the xt windshield any good?

What about the zero gravity touring?

Yep, I felt the same way after looking at the madstad setup. I want to retain my stock color (orange) too. I know the Palmer brackets are well thought of here, lots of people advocate them (including froggy, I believe). Maybe combine the palmer brackets with the right windshield and then you'd have something.

I feel the Madstad ADV screen is one of the best. Mine has been holding up great! I have rhe Madstad Aluminium Fly screen which comes in black of course. But that is the color of my bike so no big deal.
I remember seeing a couple years ago of a Madstad kit that included the adjustable brackets and metal plates that when on the back of your fly screen. I don't see them anymore on there site. Maybe there were problems?
The Palmers are great brackets too. The adjustable brackets really make a Difference in any case.

I have the palmer brackets with a zero gravity wind shield. Also bought the stabilizer bars that go between the brackets and the handlebar crossbar. Its a great setup. I've got the hand adjusters. I keep the shield low in the summer on short trips, and crank it up in 60 seconds for long trips. Palmer has great customer service to.

Advoutlander,

I have the Zero Gravity Touring WS with the Palmer brackets on the stock, plastic fly screen. The Zero Gravity Touring screen is the same size as the stock Buell touring (XT) screen.

So far it works well, and lets me adjust the WS to my liking. Madstad offers their own Fly Screen, due to the flexing and shaking of the stock, plastic screen, and mine does flex and shake a fair amount. I still want to find a way to prevent the shaking, without using the handlebar struts. I haven't had any bright ideas yet.

That setup works very good going down the road, but it does shake and flop at a stoplight, when I'm sitting at idle. I don't think it's unreasonable, but that may be just me.

Word of caution, that setup does not completely eliminate buffeting- at least for me. I'm 6'03"

I have the hand-adjustable, Palmer brackets- dig them!
