Had the absolutely perfect combination * Cold ankles * Hot right leg Had chaps back-in-the-day; - heavy, bulky attracted offers of roadside-rest nuptials - hated them. Didn't even try to sell them, cut them up to make a quiver (still have it). Are there any chaps out there that don't look gay? - Possibly even chaps that are not heavy and bulky   General_ulysses Posted on Monday, April 15, 2013 - 09:52 pm:        I've got Kevlar chainsaw chaps. They zip-to-the-hip, so I can pull them on after I put on my touring boots. Removable liner for winter, lots of good venting for summer...and armored. Knees, hips, and backside. Had them since 1985. Always in the saddlebags when it gets cold. I need to make an expansion piece for the back side where they lace together. I can barely get the buckle to catch the first whole anymore!! Do they make me look gay? If we ever meet up somewhere you can tell me. I've actually had women start poking me in the arse while I'm standing at the bar. Funny how they can get away with that but boy look out if I tried to return the favor!!
