Im sure several of you visit the ADV site. I gather when somebody refers to "205" it means F'ed up. Which brings me to my Uly. I flipped the key on today when playin with it and for the second time now after it sat untouched for a few days the trip meters cleared to 0, and the clock set itself to 205. She tryin to tell me something?

Yes. 2 hours and 5 minutes ago your cluster lost power.

Yes I am serious. When the cluster loses power the clock and tripometers reset. What caused the power loss can be a number of things including simply a weak battery, loose battery terminal screws, moving on up things harder to pinpoint like a wire break under the flyscreen or steering neck.

As I recall the clock resets to 1:00 so 2:05 would be one hour 5 minutes...

The better Buells reset to 12:00 in addition to sometimes displaying "COM ERROR" or "SYS VOLT ERR" : )

First time it did this I tried to recreate the problem by jumping up and down on the bike, turning left right lock to lock tugging on wires everywhere and anywhere I could and no dice. It sits untouched, in the garage on a battery tender and it resets. Weird I say.
I will admit a couple times its reset when I was starting it as it does the first compression stroke which seems to be the killer from what Ive read by some of you.

The splice in the wiring bundle at the steering neck and also the grounds that are screwed to the steering neck.
