Im sorry this has been posted before, I tried looking in the knowledge vault but couldnt find anything...

I have an 06, I am getting Hawks exhaust done, and a K& N Air filter, 99.9% curvy roads, the .01 is for off roads that I would probably never do, so Im getting Pilot 2's put on it.

On buell mods there are quiet a few different maps, 2 for each year, including stock or race, but I was wondering should I go with like an 08 so the fan logic would be different, or stick with the 06 race? thanks guys

"Im getting Pilot 2's put on it". These work great on this bike. I love them.

"08 so the fan logic would be different". I do not think you can do this on the 06 bike.

I do not know the Hawk can but if you add a free flowing can, K&N air filter and open up the air box you will need to re-map the ECM or use a fueler. The 06 bike needs this in the low/mid rev range as the OEM fueling is ok for its own can but will run lean otherwise. The engine is in a high state of tune and a can will only save weight, sound better and give a little better "pick up" on the throttle/control. Which for fast bendy roads is good. Depends what you are trying to do.

I have heard that Randy will load his Hawk map to your ECM if you send it to him. Might wanna give him a shout.

Uly man, thank you, I hope the pilots are a nice tire, I have them on my ninja 250 and really like them.

Portero72 I was unable to send the ECM to him as the bike is being worked on, but he said he would email me the map and I can load it myself.

Its been said many times, but randy is just a great guy.

Good luck w/ the new setup.

I loved my Hawk exhaust .... great sound / performance & working with Randy made for the quickest & easiest mod I've done, besides the fact that he was nice to chat with about other stuff as well. I have been accused in the past as being Randy in disguise for my praise but I'm not. I bought a race ecm from E.B.R. & they set it up for me based on my Hawk, K&N, & open airbox. The only reason I traded out the Hawk was because I got a really good deal on a prettier shiny SS Drummer.
