Hi, I have this friend that his bike has been stumbling for years, and after some issues with the battery loosing charge due to some cables being peeled near the rear cylinder stumbling has never stopped it stumbles in between 2k and 4k revs, doing a TPS decreases the stumbling and the bike is a bit more ridable, he is really tired of this as all sensors have been changed, all sorts of grounds checked, but we never seem to find a cure, any hints? if he takes a ride and we make a couple of mega-log recordings would any one be able to look at them and give us some ideas (my friend doesen't mind paying, and after all the money spent on parts.....) I forgot the bike is a Uly 2007. |

I had similar issues with my 07 Uly (except slightly lower RPM between 2 and 3) when I first got it, I had posted the same questions on here. My remedy was to have the ECM reflashed by Someone who knew what they were doing (Kevin Drummer). It made it a completely different bike and an absolute blast to ride. I can lug it down to 1500 rpms in traffic and pull away with no hesitation whatsoever. How is his ECM, from discussions on here, it really sounds ECM related, But others with more knowledge will certainly chime in, Perhaps its cracked? |

Well he has a race ecm and a original race exhaust, before he had an HP exhaust and a different race ecm, but the problem was equal, if it was motor related it would have got worse over the time but it seems to be stable, if we retard a not the timing the problem goes a bit lower on the rev range, but it's not the answer. thanks for the reply. |

Look at the maps in the problem area and see if the numbers seem correct. Seen some crazy skewed numbers in some stock and race maps. Go from big to small to big again. Numbers should have a continuity. |
