Greg, are you running one of these starters that you provided the link for? I looked at your extensive list of mods in your profile and did not see it. I will definitely buy one of those if mine ever gives up. I bet the stock starter from H-D costs more than the good one. Buell should have installed them from the start. (no pun intended ) Thanks |

My 06 Uly bought new in Feb 08 is still on the original battery. I use an Optimate battery charger on it twice a week and it is garaged in a warm country (Portugal) |

I'm running one of those aftermarket starters. Made a huge difference in starting my '08. The finish is a bit lacking, but for that price you can't go wrong. |

Yeah you have to watch out for those flaps on the lesbions. The flaps work better when they are new but if you keep them clean, they will last a long time. |

I read something about the Li-Po batteries today. Apart from the normal stuff of high CCR and sharp/dead voltage drop (once discharged) they are not good below 0C nor do they like the "stop/start" stuff of a road bike. More for race bikes it seems.
Cost a bundle as well. |
