2006 Ulysses Was doing routine maintenance today & found hairline cracks in the plastic pan of the seat where it locks onto the lugs. Time to replace it. What year seats fit the 06 Ulysses? If anybody has a tall seat that fits PM me. Am willing to have it re-upholstered | ||

I have read that the Uly seat pan didn't change much... You can fit many model year Uly seats on your 06 bike... However IIRC the 06 is the only one that was "tall" as a stock item... starting in 07 and beyond the stock seat was slightly shorter. does anyone know the height difference between the 06 tall and regular 08's seat? I just got my 06 today and would like to try a different seat. | ||

The 07-up seat is approximately 1-1/2 inches lower than the 06 standard seat. The 06 "low" seat is about the same height as the 07-up seat, but it has a slightly different contour and cover. Any year Uly seat will fit any year Uly (X or XT). Sometimes a different seat will fit tighter or be harder to latch, but they're all interchangeable. | ||

thanks to Wingnut I ordered a seat with that part#. hOpefully I like it, I have that the front of the seat is a little narrower than the 06 seat, we will see! |
