So I have the right fork rebuilt with new seals, o-rings and fluid. I didn't want to put it on till I cleaned my oily caliper and put in my new pads. I gave the caliper a thorough blasting and removed the old pads and threw them right in the trash. I then blasted the caliper again removing all oily residue. I grabbed a new package of brake pads and opened it up and started to install them but they didn't want to go in. I looked and looked and couldn't figure out how they went. I looked in the book but the drawing didn't look like my pads but hey, I've learned the drawings in the book are not always correct. I tried again with no progress. Then I thought maybe I grabbed the rear pads by mistake so I looked at the other set and they looked the same. WTF! Then on the upper left of the package it states, "For Big Twins"!! Oh crap, these are for the Harley!!

After a short search on my immaculate workbench, I found two more packages of brake pads and guess what, they fell right in!! At that point I headed for a beer!!

You should've grabbed the beer first. I always pick up the wrong part or tool if I've had a beer first. In your case it would have worked out well.

I would have thought "beer first" also!
