Would anyone be interested in a Ulysses Ride / Gathering? I was thinking along the lines of having an organized meeting of Ulysses owners that could move year to year from maybe Tennessee (East), then Missouri (MidWest)and then maybe Utah (West). On year 4 we could start all over again in the east. I have attended other bike gatherings with Yamaha and Ducati where a 2 or 3 day event is planned with dinners, rides, both group and individual, tech discussions and of course, prizes. Since Eric Buell is no longer building the bikes I could see manufacturers of accessories or highly interested service providers. It might be a really small group at first but, hopefully it could grow over the years and be fun just to see everyone once a year. And, of course, it would be open to all Buell Owners and friends riding other brands. I would be happy to organize it if anyone thought it might be a useful and fun time. Looking for thoughts. |

Separate thread for Buelltoberfest in the Storm Fronts forum: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/37/ 690645.html?1345651440 That'd be a good start. There are plenty of forest service roads in the area if you want to get off pavement. |

How about here? Middle of the USA.
Looks just about the right size to party in for those who do not break down on the way. |

Just a light note on the post MB. If I could I would be there even if I had to push the bike, LOL. |

Yeah, me too. I just can never get enough days off in a row to do such an event. |

I have a tentative route from 60 to some gravel road over to 515 to Fort Mountain up 550 to old highway 2 which turns to gravel and ends up back on Fort Mountain. It would be a several hour ride but we should be able to find lunch and dinner with out a problem. So if you would like to ride twisties, some gravel road with a couple of tough spots, and some great scenery then we'll plan on a little tour. I have an old friend that lives in Ellijay and I've been on a lot of roads that most don't know about. I will be down there at that time so looking forward to making the day run if anybodies interested. |
