So, when I first got my Uly in 08, it took a nap on one of my very first rides. I was extremely lucky in that it managed to drop right on a rock, right where the puck did absolutely no good and there is a nice ding in the frame just below the puck.

I've found these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-MDI-Carbon-Fiber-Frame -Covers-L-R-for-Buell-XB-/140758049865?pt=Motorcyc les_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20c5d56449&vxp=mtr# ht_1420wt_962

on fleabay and thought about getting them. I'm not a huge fan of carbon fiber look but I figured these would not only cover up the unsightly ding but also block a little bit of the heat coming off the tank when it gets empty.

I know that these are for a standard xb frame rather than the uly (which I believe is longer). So the question is... The longer frame vs the normal frame on an XB...where is the extra length? At the rear? if its at the rear I suppose it just means there will be a bit extending past the back of the carbon..

Anyways... let me know what you experts think.

I know the frame pucks for the Uly are NOT the same as all other XB models.

The whole frame is different. Different curve/angles around the puck, around the cylinders, and through the taper to the fuel pump.

You need (that's NEED) to find covers designed for the Ulysses, XB12Ss, or XB12STT. Those are the long frame bikes.
