I removed the hand guards on my 06 bike and added bar weights which cut most of the handlebar and mirror vibs. I wanted to keep the guards on the 2010 bike. I know people have tried silicon and lead shot before but came up with this as less messy. It can also be removed and weight adjusted if needed. It is made up of "bits-n-bobs" I had around the place so was free.

You push it into the bar end and do up the Nyloc nut. This expands the lead/alloy rope locking it in place. I tend to find there are more heavy vibs on the right hand side mirror than the left and the 06 and 2010 bikes are the same. I now have the same vision on both sides in any gear/rev combination and is much the same as any other bike I have had before. In fact it is MUCH better than some as on many a bike the mirrors are near useless. Even better though is that I am getting no vibs AT ALL from the throttle grip with any gear/rev combination. I guess I am going to need to do the same on the clutch side as well as I now notice it more. We will see? I am amazed at how well it works and how much a few small/cheap things can improve a bike.
I am using summer gloves, aftermarket mirrors, HD OEM heated grips, 25mm cut from each end of the bars and Grip Puppies.

Grip Puppies. Help cut the vibs well.

My aftermarket mirrors. You can see more with them.

What else works.

This air horn is just great and had them on both bikes. Very, very loud.

If you ride in hot humid weather or any other this works real well. Keeps the water off the skin and you dry.

This "touring style" HG leather and bonded Gore-Tex 2 piece suit is the best I have ever had. Apart from the price and the non airtex liner that is. A good size and "cut". Comfy, top brand SaS-Tech armour, leather, zips, etc. Does not leak either.

I see you are running the silver 'Honda' wing decal also. How does that help with the vibrations?

"I see you are running the silver 'Honda' wing decal also. How does that help with the vibrations?" My mental health doctor said that Buells are just "ghosts in the machine" and that I need a larger drug intake. Works for me, lol.

I love your $0.11 bar end weights!
Solder- it's not just for breakfast anymore.

How heavy do you suppose they are?

I like the air horn, Uly man.

Where is it from and how easy it is to hook up?

The horn looks like a Stebel Nautilus.

I ran one just hooked to the stock wires, and it was OK. Then I ran a relay (triggered by the stock wires) fed directly from the battery and WOW. Almost had to clean my own shorts!

Where did you order the mirrors from?

I could have used that horn on my way into work with morning. I am losing my patience with bad Florida drivers.

Oh and don't look for a reply from uly man anytime soon. He's prolly downing some pints of yummy frothy stuff while having fun watching the olympics in person or with fella olympic fans.

Color me jealous but I hope he is having fun.

"How heavy do you suppose they are?" About 150Grams.

"Where did you order the mirrors from?" E-Bay.

"The horn looks like a Stebel Nautilus." Yes it is. 130db at one meter 110db at 3 meters. It does need the relay and fits nice under the Uly cowl.

"I am losing my patience with bad Florida drivers." Trust me this WILL wake them up.

I really WOULD have liked this to be the case but it is NOT? I live only one mile away from the Olympic park and tried for tickets four years ago and got NOTHING and they cost a small fortune as well. Still trying now.

Also they have made parking control outside my house, put "ground-to-air" missiles in my back yard, caused the worse transport problems I have seen here in 20 years and we can not walk, use a car or bike without the need to be stopped for a body search or having your bike/car torn down to the steel. Mr Grumpy? Freking dam well right.

I also know for a fact that they are "doing the do" on phone calls and the internet here. Well they are welcome by me anytime. I just hope they like frozen pizza and a empty JD bottle?

Thanks for the details on the horn. I believe its-a-comin'.

Good luck Uly man. Despite the bomb incident, I still regret not going to the Olympic games when they were just up the road in Atlanta. We have had it on our telly pretty much every waking hour since the opening ceremonies last Friday. For us, watching the Olympics is a family tradition. Prefer the winter version but the summer is a-ok too.

Good grief. But because of a few select jackwagons that we share our planet with, this is necessary to keep us safe. From the way it sounds, it could have been better orchestrated?

"Mr Grumpy? Freking dam well right."

Hey I thought there was only room for one of those on the badweb.

Hope you get to enjoy them even a smidge despite the inconveniences they bring. It's the weekend for some of y'all. Enjoy and be safe.
