Since my bike didnt come with the third rear hard bag I have been looking at different styles. Prob gonna have to wait to later to get one but just looking. Wonder what the quality is like. Would have to build some sort of rack for it but looks similar to the buell bags.

Anyone ever seen these in person?

Someone at work as one installed on his Concours. It works fine, but the mounting plate (luggage rack?) to the case interface is a bit loose. It moves a bit but it works and is well worth the $50 price.

I have one on my Concours, and while there was a bit of play in the mounting plate, I solved it by gluing a few rubber washers to take up the slack. Can't beat this thing for the price, and the quality is decent too.

Keep an eye out for coupons or specials; you can usually get an even better price.

I added a Shad 37 on top of my backrest folded down. It snaps on and off the plate that is screwed on it. Really slick and about $175.

I have the large version, it came on the used KLR I bought last year. Flopped about like crazy. Tried gluing rubber bumpers to the case and such, but didn't help.
The solution was to remove the original bumpers, flatten the dimple in the steel mounting plate and installing the rubber hood bumpers from Ford Crown Victorias. Any auto body supply store should be able to supply them. I used four and that case is rock solid now. They have a very long threaded shaft (metric), so install and just cut off the excess.
The case has proven to be waterproof and durable. The materials are cheap, but it's worked well for me, and I'd actually recommend it.

Here's one, for $50 or whatever it's OK. Definitely not Givi quality though, my biggest complaint was the latch with the plate is really loose. I have a Shad on there now, it's nicer and fits the mount much better.

I have one on my TDM 850 and I'm quite happy with it, especially for the money. I have the medium size, and it will not fit a full face helmet, at least none of mine. I got some stainless steel drawer pulls from Lowe's and mounted them to the top so I could have some lash points for extra gear. I have not had any issues with it being loose or rattling.

I made an aluminum top plate that bolted through the existing holes in the tail and bolted the $30 Wallymart cooler to that. Worked well on and off road on my old XT.

Good to see your post, Itileman. I was wondering how you were doing just a day or so ago. Getting better? Best to you, Man.
