I have really been looking hard at a KLR. How does it stack up after riding the XT?

It's a good "play" bike compared to the XT. I'm 6'5" and I'm comfortable on it. My partner and I can ride 2-up and it can easily handle us. It's def a different feel plus I have knobbies on it

The ergos are much the same. The power isn't...It's a lot less work to throw around on a twisty road, but the handling is not as precise. Still, I was dragging the peg feelers in the corners. It'll eat the Uly's lunch in the woods. The weights of the bikes are similar, the KLR comes in at about 430#, but the KLR feels much lighter and the Uly doesn't feel heavy at all.

I've put about 500 miles on the KLR since Friday, and I'm favorably impressed. It's a really good all around bike. Whether it's dirt, highway or twisties it does the job.
