In what gear and under what road conditions? There is no straight ratio. Mine cruises on the highway in 6th gear at around 3700rpms at 70mph on the flat straight-away...and my speedometer is off by about 5mph so it's closer to 4000rpms.

My Ulysses is about 4000 at 80; right around 3500 at 70. Top gear, highway cruising, all stock.

JAYBIRD, I agree with Tempest766. I use my GPS as a speedometer on my last three bikes and have found speedometers are off about 4-5 MPH. @ 70mph I turn about 4K

My speedo shows 3500rpm at 70mph in 5th gear (If I am going against a wind I feel like I'm lugging the engine a little, with the wind the bike likes it).

Tempest is dead wrong. It is certainly a straight ratio, and my XB12s also only have 5 speeds.

Roughly 20mph/1000rpm in high gear.

All you need is the gear ration, wheel circurfance, input the speed and you will have RPM.

Like Dat says, it is a true mechanical ratio.

An yes our ULY has only 5 speeds.

Now the X1 had a Baker 6 speed, but that is another story!
