Does anyone have a spare tps idle control cable laying around? Mine broke tonight while trying to adjust.

I started to notice a slight surge in my rpm around 2000 rpm on the way back from lake george a couple weeks ago. And the whole rpm range didn't always feel smooth all the time, sort of rough.
So i set out to do a TPS reset on my 06 Uly with ECM spy. The bike did not respond at all. Surging/hunting idle with popping from intake. Adjusted idle and rode bike for 40 miles. At speed above 2000 bike runs great. But idle and low RPM the thing is a mess w/ stalling out and popping from intake. I performed anothe reset and the cable broke, lots of rust on cable. So i had to take the air box out to atempt another reset using pliers until my cable comes in. Still have a hunting idle w/ popping from intake. TPS reset done with motor warmed to temp. The popping blew off my vac cap making problem worse, but repaired that with no avail.
Have NGK plugs in and they look ok. But have 10K on and due for replacement.
Guys have any ideas? I am tearing apart to install TPS adjust cable this rainy weekend.

Thanks!

That's exactly how mine acted when the throttle shaft broke.Take a look while you have the air box off.

Throttle shaft broke? And it still ran ok while riding? Where did it break on shaft?

Had just put a battery in and was riding home.Caught a red light and it died.Restarted and wouldn't run at anything less than 2000 RPM.Took long way home(10 miles) to avoid stopping.made it home.reset TPS,no change.Started to do another TPS reset and the throttle felt sticky and weird. It was then I took the air box cover off and found the damage. It broke where the hole is for attaching the butterfly.IT apparently had been breaking for awhile but finally separated completely.

Here's one link on the throttle shaft problem with some pictures:

Mine was backfiring also through the intake before the throttle shaft broke. I don't know if the backfiring caused the throttle shaft to break or vice versa.

At about the same time I discovered I had a bad ECM. Have you checked your ECM for cracks? Has it been relocated?

I think the ecm is in the stock location. Where does it get located to?
Had the throttle bod out and changed the intake seals. Still having same problems, popping, rolling idle anything under 2000 rpm.
Exhaust is not leaking. tried several tps resets. Popping and idle concerns showed up after the tps reset.

Has this set of plugs ever been wet fouled? Wetted plugs can be dried, cleaned, regapped, and still cause a problem like rough idle, which makes you do everything you can come up with to compensate for.

I have replaced the spark plugs with new at same time as the intake gaskets. Made no change. This has me perplexed. All I did was set tps with ecm spy. Running like a bad of shit. I have found that it runs like crap (popping and rolling idle) in open and closed loop. With in closed loop o2 volts stays below around .2- .3 volt. Afv goes above 100. That is running lean correct?

When keeping it running while in closed loop, I am running in 120s to 130s.
