I called triple A only to find out I don't have the motorcycle option on my account and they won't cover it. I said f-it and rode home. Didn't seem to do any harm but I'm tearing into it this weekend for maintenance and will switch it out then. Doing Clutch cable, fork oil, front isolator, engine/trans oil and filter, fan, and got a new belt I think I am going to install and use the current as a spare. Besides rattling the instrument cluster (shimmed it with folded paper to stop the worst of it) like hell at lower rpm's it didn't cause any more problems. I guess it's a good thing it happened now... will replace it, won't worry about it, and now I know that my AAA wouldn't have covered me if I broke down on that trip but now I've upgraded so I should be fine . It's cheap (35-ish for a year) and covers your bike and cars. My wife and I both carry cards. Are there warning signs if the isolated is failing? AAA Plus gives multiple 100 mile tow's and one 200 mile tow per year, or again, something like that. I really didn't notice anything... I have read some people notice more vibes then it goes... this thing shakes so much it has to be fairly serious for me to notice... the isolator failing was serious enough and noticeable enough to know it wasn't a normal vibe.
