Hey guys - I'm looking at purchasing a 2006 Ulysses - it's in great shape and only has 2,640 miles. I've been hearing that there are problems with the '06. Can someone give me a rundown of the most common problems? Thanks. |

My '06 has 32000 miles on it.Bad stator fixed under warranty.I replaced the front rotor with the EBR new & improved one.Other than lots of tires it has been a great bike. PS Still on the original wheel bearings |

all bikes have problems, but nothing that can not be solved, here you will find all the help needed. check: Buell Forum » Big, Bad & Dirty (Buell XB12X Ulysses Adventure Board) » New Ulysses Owner Information (Message edited by pontlee77 on May 03, 2012) |

How much are they asking for the '06? |

They were asking $6,000 but I have him talked down to $4,700. |

Price looks quite good, just check if they have done the recalls: BAS relocation, side stand. also is a good idea to look for any signs of oil on the rocker box cover. |

Odd how, at least in the UK, a four year old Buell XB can have a average of 8K on it. Great for me as I have had two year old bikes that were in mint/new condition with 2K or less on them (not even run in yet) and near half the new RRP price. |

But it and get a Free Spirits belt tensioner fitted. Takes the stress off the gearbox output shaft and the belt of course. Mine has done 18600 miles. One snapped belt at 12000 miles, rear wheel bearings at 13500 miles. Always starts first time and runs well. Change the oil every 2500 and it should last well. The most comfortable bike I've ever been on and mine is an 06 with the tall seat. A great motorbike. Enjoy!! |
