on my new to me X...
code 21 & the solenoid/valve is sticking. as i rev it it up, i see no movement, but that may be because it isn't under a load?

wire it open - the position where you feel tension?
can you bypass the check engine light after that?

You can use ECMspy or TunerPro to disable the EVA functions and trouble code, I wouldn't worry about wiring it open/closed.

I have noticed a difference in exhaust tone when pulled "open" ... Throatier ...
EBR ECM on want list ... Not offensive muffler ... Maybe ...I don't like LOUD ... Don't want folks to frown when I ride by ...
