When I bought my bike I wanted to be ready and bought the service manual to go with it. The manual definitely says 08 XB but it must have been an early printing because it has no XT specific procedures in it. I am working up the nerve and ambition to change my fork oil but it only shows the X forks and not the XT, and they are a little different. I guess I am looking for an X owner that wouldn't mind trading manuals or someone with a newer manual that could photocopy the appropriate pages for me. Anybody out there got the right stuff?

Good luck with the project Griff. I'll probably be doing it soon myself. My manual is for an 09 so I don't know if it is the same or not, but I did want to let you know that there are a few links to places where you can get electronic copies of many manuals pretty reasonable out on this thread:
