OK, taking the advice of you guys (and being somewhat pressed for time) I tore down one of my fork legs and got the new seals, bushing, etc, installed. Piece of cake!! One question: There is a small o-ring that came in a kit with the fork cap o-ring and the pre-load adjuster o-ring. I compared it to the inner slider piston o-ring. That ain't it. Where the hell does that go? I cannot see the third o-ring to replace it... bb |

All the o rings go in the top. Seems like there are three total. Are you doing this without the book? I'll look it up in mine if you are, just say so. |

According to the shop manual for my 08, there are three o rings and you named all three. I didn't replace any of them when I did my seal replacement. |

Does it go on the bottom compression adjuster bolt-screw? I didn't replace any of my o rings. |

I just did my forks too. No O rings just 2 $4.50 fork seals and a 10 dollar bottle of fork oil. I did not use a spring compressor but I did cut a 3 inch piece of 2 inch PVC in half to use as a fork seal driver. I really love this bike. |

Well, I don't know what it was for. I suspect they put the o-ring kits together incorrectly, that the seal I got should fit the top of the damper rod, but it doesn't. Thanks for your help, guys, Bill |
