I think my BAS is going wrong, i was wondering if i remove the metal piece that is like a balance weight would the bike give em an error code or it would not give me any error code?

Thanks.

Turn it off with ECMspy, faster, easier, and less permanent.

I don't recall anything about the BAS throwing trouble codes, it either works or it doesn't, and when it doesn't it shuts the bike off.

I know i had mine fail once and shut of the bike randomly, yesterday i was on twisties and it shut of on one of the twists fortunately i was going quite easy so i held the clutch and managed to stop after having to cross 1 lane of slow traffic.
Didin't think about doing it on Ecm-Spy.

Thanks Froggy.

If you don't want to do it in ECMSpy you can use a bit of silicone rtv to hold the pendulum in place. Just make sure it is oriented properly to the circuit board, apply the goop and reassemble. Might want to wait a bit for the stuff to cure before subjecting it to operational vibes.

What makes you think it is going wrong? Its either on or off and the bike has to be over a long way for it to cut out.
