I tried searching but Can the mounts still be ordered from a dealer? I'm thinking of adding bags to the wife's SuperTT. It already has the peg hangers the racks would mount to on the front. Has anyone used the mounts without the Uly tail piece? I would probably put the tail section on if I could find one.

It looks like aftermarket mounts would be really expensive & I'm on a pretty tight budget. Any help would be most welcome.

Murf-

The bag mounts on the Uly are very specific to the tailsection, and I am 99% sure (haven't tried it, but...) that the Uly mounts won't fit a Super TT.

Good luck with whatever solution works best.

the racks each of them hooks to 3 places so on a super TT with an uly tail you would be missing the front mount, i woulden't risk it, maybe you could find some other option.

With the help of a friend that has a welder I put a set of reworked Uly racks on my '06 Ss. The hardest part is to get both sides to match. I found that set on ebay advertised as HD Dyna racks for $25. If you pm me your email address I can send you full size pics of the racks.

Mounts should still be orderable, just make sure you use the XB12XT part numbers. No clue on the wait time.

It would be doable for your setup being that you have the Uly footpeg mounts, but you will need to drill holes in your tail section. The Uly and STT use the same tail section, just the holes are drilled differently depending on which bike it was going on. I have both a STT tail and Uly tail laying around, I double check tonight that it would be doable.

Hey Froggy, I know I will have to drill the seat rails and that isn't a problem for me. Is the Uly tail section one piece, the tail light part & the fender/license mount or is it several parts?

Thankds for the help, Murf

It is a 3 piece setup, the side rails are the same, the center piece that holds the tail light is different. The STT has a standard Lightning center piece, the Uly has their own design which incorporates the mounts for the grab rails and beaver tail.

My local dealer had no idea how to order them... I didn't push it, I just whipped out the oxy actylene torch and put my bent originals back in roughly the right shape.

Thanks Froggy. I was trying to ask if the rear piece that holds the tail light and the fender/license plate holder were all one piece, if you don't count the grab rails and beaver tail.

The center section is two pieces, the magnesium colored center section that holds the tail light, then there is a plastic piece that holds the rear turn signals and plate.
