No significant issues, just started with a Friday evening oil and filter change, and had a set of PR3's waiting to mount to a 2010 rear wheel. . .(but that's a different story)  . . . then figured, what the hell - - this bike has been great for 2 and 1/2 years, and the weekend weather wasn't very good (go figure), so decided to pull some spare parts off the shelf. . . Next thing you know, the Uly's propped up on two Pit Bull stands (with a transmission jack) . . .  So here's the list: - New PR3 tires (was running a D616 front and Pirelli rear - - both flat spotted and badly cupped; 'bout 10K on the D616, 7K on the Pirelli) - New wheel bearings (front and rear), last swapped out at rear failure at 24K, but since I ride in the rain often - - worth it for the peace of mind. - New brake pads, Lyndall Golds for front and rear. - New belt, nothing wrong with the current one, just good to have a "stretched" one ready for roadside repair. - New airbox emblems - - needed to slow down on the morning commute, but didn't want to change the fast black color, so thought these would help keep the speed down. . .  Pretty much buttoned-up. . .  Ready for the next 40,000. . .  What a great bike - - Ride Safe | ||

Looks good! Do those airbox emblems actually stick well to the truck bed liner on the airbox? Thanks. | ||

Took a Dremel to the emblem areas (Line-X was applied to the airbox with the original emblems still on), and smoothed the porous surface for better contact. Used a good amount of heat to stimulate the adhesive; they are solidly attached. Used the same method for the flyscreen emblem a few years ago, no issues with that application, don't think I'll have any issues with this... Ride Safe |
