I'm looking to get a good package rain suit for the spring. Anyone have any recommendations? Not looking to break the bank, but also not wanting to get damp on my ride to or home from work.

Thanks!

i've used frog toggs with decent results. they can be had for around 60 a set (top and bottom) and are available in a few colors, and even black with reflective piping.

but this year i'm gonna try to ATSKO a set of cotton coveralls. i allready have some coveralls, and the ATSKO stuff is 4 dollars a can. one should do it

HD hi-vis, best rain gear I've had and really helps on those grey Seattle rain days when the cagers really can't see you. On a rainy day I was on the freeway in my truck a lot of spray coming off of big rigs, came up on motorcycle dude with regular rain gear and couldn't see him until I was right on him. Down the road I saw another rider with hi-vis gear and could make him out from quite a ways back. Bought a set later that week.

Most of my riding is done in the warm humid stuff, so take this with a grain of salt.

Don't bother with the Frogg Togg horney toadz unless you:

A) Scotchguard the crap out of them before you wear them (any hi viz stuff is a magnet for road grime and worse....DAMHIK) and

B) Use tent sealer or something similar to seal the crotchular area seams before you embark on any trips beyond the distance of your local kwik-e-mart.

I would buy them again, the hi-viz is great (can u see me now?), but the design has a couple growing pains to overcome.

"No bad weather, just bad gear" : ).

If you've got a set of textile gear try giving them a Nikwax treatment. My Firstgear stuff was mostly waterproof out of the box, but I've attained full waterproofiness in the Seattle winters with the stuff. I give them a wash in treatment every fall, be sure your gear is clean before treating, and sometimes have to refresh the crotch area once or twice during the winter with the spray on stuff. Haven't had to this year so far, but it's been relatively dry.

For the Buell I like the Triumph Chevron one piece suit. It's $100.00 and you step into it like a duster. You need to practice putting it on as it's a little complicated and must be done right or it will leak. Mine works great on the Buell but sucks on the Harley. It doesn't work when you're sitting in a bucket!
