12 months and 17,000 miles ends my adventures with the ULY. It has been my daily rider, and getting hard to depend on. Three belts, two ECU's, bad grounds, leaking fork seals, intermittent issues in the rain despite complete Electrical system check over, and a trip to Daytona in a couple weeks have helped me decide now is a good time to get a new ride. I really enjoyed the Uly, and the knowledge here is awesome. I have posted in the classified section lots of goodies for sale including a Mayer saddle, custom fuel cell, spanking new belt, and possible some more goodies as I continue the defarkling process. Thank you all for the great information, this site has been a life saver. I hope the Motus site is as good. Paul Pelland Rider | ||

Very sad but I do not blame you Longhaulpaul. At the end of the day no one wants to be standing on the side of the road with a broken bike looking like a reject at an ar$e kicking contest. Two belts and two electrical faults for me over two Ulys. I have had more cars/bikes than I can remember but the Uly is the only one I will not use without a recovery service. Yes I know I bought another one but thats me. Not everyone like the pain. |
