The time has come to possibly part with the red eyed armadillo.

Terry,
Wouldn't that be like taking your dog to the pound because you're tired of it? Anyways the EG Temp dipstick should maximize the asking price

No Brother EG, I am not tired of the Uly.

The uly is still my favorite ride, It's just that the Uly is my long legged ride and I don't think I will be doing any long rides worthy of it's support any longer.

That bike loves to eat up the highway, that's for sure.

I would rather have a nice soft riding single now for much shorter rides in the country, that's all.

SO its like taking your FAVORITE dog that knows how to hunt to the pound because you just don't see yourself hunting again.

I think I get this.

I gotta ask, how did you mount the front fender.

And I would literally give up a testicle for the bike! So wish I had the cash...

You will surely miss her!

I made a bracket just for the acerbis supermoto fender. Info is somewhere in badweb.

Suddenly, I find myself interested in a late model kawasaki KLR650, 2007 and older.

Loved my KLR650. Will love it again once the head is redone / I put in a 685 kit. - I over heated it and blew the head gasket and probably the warped the head.

But you can pick up a spiffy older one all farkled up for $2500. Go to klr650.net

Oh my, yours is almost exactly what I'm planning on doing with mine. I don't think I could bear to give up the '09's bottom end, else i'd save time and dollars just selling mine and buying yours!

I'm thinking about doing the ceramic coated micron and skidplate just like you've got setup there--how loud is it? For comparison, more or less loud than the Hyper with termis? (I see the hyper in the background and assume it has termis).

If you decide to sell it stock I could be convinced to drop my Uly off at your house so you could swap most of the goodies over

Are the headlights HID or Halogen?

Yeah, I've been there.

Now I'm jonesin to farkle a klr650 just like I did The Uly.

The hyper has a Zard system without cat.

They both sound good and are about the same in loudness, but nothing, I mean nothing.....sounds as good as a well tuned 1250 Uly w/ the ceramic coated micron.

Is that a Honda Fury in the background?

Thanks for the info. I actually like the Uly in quiet form, but would really like more power and less heat so am thinking about a ceramic coated micron, just not sure whether I could stand the extra noise. I can stand a hyper with termis and my TL with full akra but that's about my personal noise-limit (I do wear earplugs). I think I'll probably give it a shot.

Do you carry those 2 little blocks of wood around with you to put under the stand whenever you stop? Just curious. Thanks.

That was so it would sit straight up so I could change to oil.

Thanks for noticing.

Treadmarks, I'm sorry about my dumb comments on the blocks of wood. Should have kept that comment to myself.

I knew there had to be a reason why you wanted the bike to be upright for something. I think I just noticed because that Honda is so immaculate and the blocks just stood out. I like to see bikes that people have pride in, like yours. Take care!

You're obviously a good guy, Motorbike, as is Treadmarks. Very cool. Innocent joke, nice response from Tread, and cool regret post from you. Good folks!

I thought the question was funny myself. I do the same with a brick when I change the oil on the uly.
