Picked up a 2009 XB12XP on Thursday.
First proper ride today.
I've never had a dual sport before so I took it easy. Very wet & windy this AM. c75 miles in total.
What a great bike. Plenty of power. Great visibility. Good brakes. Really stable in crosswinds (c15-25 MPH off the ocean.)
I liked it a lot & look forward to many more miles on it.

Welcome Chris and congratulations on the new bike.

Its pretty nasty out there today but a good way to see just how well the Uly handles all sorts of conditions.

Ulys don't have good sea legs so if you decide to cruise the Mayport ferry, stay within arms reach of it. DAMHIK.

Welcome again!

The bike bought has the additional heat protection already installed. If you think the Uly is bad, try my X1. It gets warm & has no fan!

Take that thing out on a twisty mountain road before the weather prevents it. Wring her neck a bit. The rewards are amazing!

I'm headed to Suches next weekend for Buelltoberfest.
I understand that the roads there have some twist to them!
All year riding season here in Fla, just not too many good pieces of road to experiment on.

You'll love it! My wife and I were just up there last month. We stay at a friends cabin near Lake Burton. This was our 7th motorcycle trip there. Awesome roads and people. Moto nirvana! Enjoy.
