My wife & I just got back for a 2 week trip to Utah. 2 Buell's,3K miles & no real problems. Part way trough the trip, I noticed that the gauges would sweep when I turned the bars hard right. No problem, I kept an eye on it & realize I'll have to dig into it this winter. One morning after setting out in the rain all night, the starter kept trying to engage . After messing with it for awhile it stopped. Could this be related to the wiring problem by the steering head? It never did it after that one wet morning. Thanks, Murf |

YES!!!! Check ALL the ground wires at the steering head area, MANY posts on this issue in the archives, search and you will find many repair options. One thing I can guarantee you, if you dont pre-fix it now, it WILL leave you stranded later!! YMMV Bruce |
