Has anybody checked these topcases out side by side? I am trying to figure out why the 52 litre is over $100 more for 2 litres of extra space vs the 50 litre in plain black. | ||

I have the 50. Holds 2 helmets. Holds my tent and sleeping bag. Holds tons of extra gak when I'm just tooling around. Has the luggage rack for when stuff is too big for the cases. Love it. | ||

I have the stock HB Topcase 40 but was thinking of getting the 50 also. Can they be ordered with the key # to match my existing cases? | ||

Nope. Buell keys are Buell-only. I re-keyed all my bags to HB keys (they're red, not blue). | ||

Because the 52 is better looking. Better looking is always more expensive. Or aren't you married yet? | ||

Better looking is subjective. I prefer the 50 to the 52. The double-"lights" on the 52 look like something off a GoldWing or a cheap scooter case. And I painted the "recessed" section of my 50's lid the same orange as the rest of my Uly (and the panels on my sidecases). Fits right in. (I now have the luggage rack on it, too, but it's not on yet in this photo).  |
