The owner's manuals are available here, why not the service manuals? PDF those things for everyones' use. By the way, I already own both a 2006 and a 2007 service manual. (Message edited by electraglider_1997 on September 07, 2011) | ||

Because they are Harley Davidson's property, and it would be illegal to share them. Also, I don't have them in PDF form to share even if I felt like it. It would be nice if there was a leak and they showed up one day! | ||

I have been thinking, for about 6 months, that I would like to turn my SM into a PDF, but not sure that I would be able to figure it out. I have the 08 manual, and may not be of help to the 06,07,09,and 10s. Do either of you know or have a suggestion for getting started. Keep in mind I have almost zero $ and am working with a Windoes2k professional op sys. I know upgrade but see previous sentence. It works for me for the time being. I would be doing this for myself, w#@k w#@k, so any help would be appreciated. I have been out of work on disability, but hold 2 jobs to help make ends meet, so does not leave me a lot of time, but would be a great winter project. Thanks Druelly | ||

I do not have PDF creation software. Only can read PDFs. Sorry. | ||

It isn't hard to do, it is more time consuming than anything, as you will have to remove the binding on the pages, then manually scan each page one by one, unless you happen to have a duplexing autofeeder, then you feed the images into a PDF creator program and you are done. You still are stuck with the issue of it being illegally reproducing Harley Davidson intellectual property, and you wouldn't be allowed to share it on here like the handful of other service manuals that it has been done to over the years. The books already exist in PDF form, when you go to the dealer and they need to look something up, they pull up the latest and greatest service/parts/electric books in PDF form. The PDF ones are more current than the printed ones anyway. | ||
