In less than two weeks I'll be back to living in MN!!!! No more of this ridiculous desert heat.

What's the most friendly dealer for Buell's in the metro?

Great we'll do some riding.

Wild Prairie is OK but Faribault HD has a great crew and I've been getting things there.

Brad and Dave,

Looking forward to getting together for a brew and some twisty's.

I'll be living in the Apple Valley area. Never been to the Wild Prairie shop. Use to do all my business with St. Paul Harley when I could. (I think they're owned by the same people.)

Uffda! Back to the land of walleye sandwiches, Summit Pale Ale, and Green Mill pizza. I envy you.

Or will, until about November.

Still have your ice fishing drill?

Hey Nic. It'll be great to have you back! We'll for sure have to get out on the bikes. As far as wild prairie or st. paul harley goes, I wouldn't go near them. the hacks at wild prairie messed my bike up big time(long story) stripped the drain plug and would never accept responsibility. And neither would the managers at St. Paul Harley. I heard St. Cloud HD has some good people. I plan to never go to an HD dealer again for service.

Greg, gotta agree with you. SPHD used to support Buells pretty well, not so much anymore. WPHD? Never impressed me. Unfortunately many HD dealers just hang chrome. If a real problem comes up mechanically they only have one or 2 tech with the chops to diagnose and fix.

Another BadWebber here had a X1 problem. Bike was running poorly, he brought it over and we looked it over. It turned out to be a head temp sensor. Wonder how long it would have taken the HD dealer to find it..
As luck had it, I had a spare and we fixed it right up.

The best service garage in the area? Mine!!

Brad

Brad,

I may take you up on that garage offer. I'll be back in Minnie in a little over a week. We'll have to meet up for a brew or two.

I would have said St. Cloud. Brett and his crew really cared about Buells. Unfortunately, the dealership was sold last week, and renamed Viking Land HD. I don't know how Buell friendly they'll remain.

I've ordered parts from Wild Prairie, but I've heard some real nightmare stories about their service department. Same ownership as SPHD.

I've never dealt with Elk River other than they helped me find a part over the phone, but I've heard very good things about them. If I had to go to a dealer for something now, I'd probably give them a shot.

St. Croix in New Richmond, WI is also OK.
Lakeville and Blaine don't deal with Buells at all.

I agree with all that has been said about StP HD and WP HD. I have used Zylstra in Elk River for a friends bike- really nice guys, fast work, no BS and a couple techs ride Buells as well as the general manager

...but I service my own, and head to Brad's garage when I'm in over my head!

So Sauk Rapids/St Cloud is not a Donahue dealer anymore? How about Donahue in Brainerd? St Cloud had some real passionate people for Buells.

a little snooping on the Donahue FB page and website tells me they sold both locations to new owners.

Quite a bit of the staff is still in place, but I am not sure how much. It's always worth a try.

I've heard great things about St. Croix HD in WI. That's where my dad buys all of his HD's. Wasn't sure if they were Buell friendly or not.

Double check with St. Croix, but I dealt with them when I broke down near Eau Claire, and was towed there since they're closer to the Cities. Overall, they seemed okay.
