I have been drawn back into the Uly fold again.

So a buddy of mine is going to haul a 08' Ulysses I picked up out of state and I need to know what the length of the bike from the front of the front wheel to the contact patch on the rear wheel to see if it will fit in the pickup he plans on using(short box aprox, 76" length)without a tailgate on it.

Thanks

It will fit in a short box. I have done it and shut the tailgate.

It will fit, even in a S10 but tailgate down on that if I remember right.

My Uly measures 6'-6" from the front of the front tire to the back of the rear tire.

Ronmold:
I would love to ride it back, but I just went through a massive heart attack(The Widow Maker) around 3 months ago and recently had a pace maker defibrillator installed, so no riding for right now(can't lift my arm above my shoulder for 1 month). I wanted to get another bike just to keep my sanity after all I went thru this year and give me something to look forward to.

My 08 XT just barely fits straight in the back of my 97 full size Dodge Ram short box with the tailgate shut. I found this out when I hauled it home after the stupid wheel bearing failed.

I have an 07 Toyota Tundra w/ 6'-6" box. The uly will fit perfect in the box with the tailgate closing on the rear tire snug.

Good to hear you made it through it! The knowledge that the Uly's there waiting for you should be a good motivator to get back to health, and it will wait patiently until you're ready. Godspeed!

Uly XT fits in my Colorado Crew Cab diagonally with the tailgate up. It does require you to strap down the forks compressed to shorten it enough to get the tailgate closed.

Good luck!

Thanks everyone for the info. It is on its way to me as I write this. 1" to long to fit in his truck but he made it work out. He is riding his bike home that was picked up at the same time.

It's not the length that matters....
