For those of you that have had their bike go into "skip spark" when overheating - does it throw a Check Engine Light when that happens? Trying to diagnose a friend's '06 Lightning that acted like it had overheated yesterday

While it is in skip spark the CEL will flash on and off. After you slow down/cool down more the CEL will turn off completely.

Skip spark will not leave a code either. When it occurs it is doing what it is supposed to do, protecting the engine.
