i just filled my tank and i guess i overfilled it because it started coming out the vent tube.when i took the cap back off i saw air bubbles slowly coming up i just figured it was from the vent so i rode another five miles or so home.saw a few drops come out the vent but when i got home and shut the bike off i removed the cap and the gas was bubbling pretty good.i dont think it was boiling but thats what it looked like any thoughts? |

Summertime on a Buell = boiling gas. I've had it happen on 2 of my ATVs also. Gasoline can have a fairly low boiling point. |

It is normal, especially with a hot air cooled V-twin mounted in the middle of the gas tank. |

My gas boils after ingesting an XL Grilled Stuffed Burrito at Taco Hell. Those babies are delicious. |

The boiling point for gasoline can be as low at 100* and as high as 400*. |

"The boiling point for gasoline can be as low at 100*" So what you're saying is that here in Oklahoma, mine may have been boiling in the garage for the past 6 weeks |

It is possible depending on the blend and additives. |

>>> "The boiling point for gasoline can be as low at 100*" From what I understand it can be as low as 80oF, but that would be for what is known as Winter formulation gasoline that is comprised partly of components with much greater volatility. |
