I will have to admit, I do like the stock Diablo Stradas that came on my XT. Anyone know where a person can find a new rear? Since Pirelli pulled that model from the US, all stock has pretty much been depleted. If someone has switched to Angels or Scorpion Trails, I may be following. Or you can sell me your left over Strada you had sitting on the shelf before switching? Thanks guys! |

I liked the Diablo Strada's, and now love the Scorpion Trails. Make the switch, you won't regret it. |

I also liked the Strada's but they wore fast. I just put on a Pilot Roads 2 but I'm having some balance / vibration issues with it. |

I've enjoyed the Angels. Good grip and feel dry or wet, and it's looking like I'll get more miles out of them. |

I'm at about 20,000 miles, 3 years, and counting on my Strada! I have the Scorpion Trails on my 1125R, they are fantastic, but don't have the amazing tire life of the Strada, I guesstimate they will get me 10-12k. I'll throw some Angels on something to see how they fair. |

The Stradas were the worst tire I've used. I skulled the strada rear in 1800 miles. Got a nasty surprise when it went to cords in such a short time. I also hated the profile of the front. There are better tires. Froggy's results NOT typical. Neither are mine. The results of most lie somewhere in between. |

Not a fan of the Stradas either. My original set was great. Lasted around 7500 before I pulled them for a trip. The second rear went bad at around 4500, and ruined a distance rally for me (and left me stuck in Sioux Falls), which really pissed me off. Interestingly enough, the front was still okay wth a couple thousand more miles, until I replaced both front and back this spring with Shinko 009s (which I'm really pleased with). |

I'm at about 20,000 miles, 3 years, and counting on my Strada! Froggy, 20,000 miles? Really? Do you ever start the engine or do you just let it roll downhill and have someone haul you and the bike back to the top again? (That would explain your gas mileage too) I have never gotten more than 12,000 miles on any bike tire, even on my former Gold Wings. My stock Strada rear has 7,000 miles on it and I may be able to squeeze a few hundred more, at most. It is just about touching at the tread wear indicators now. I may be a little heavier than you (225 lbs on a good day) but I just don't see how you can stretch it that far? I run my rear pressure at 36 psi and check it at least weekly. |

The lighter you are, the longer those tires will last. If you are 200+ pounds, your tires aren't going to last as long as a 150 pounder given you ride the same. At least that is what I believe. |

Obviously I opened up the proverbial can of worms on a tire thread again. Honestly, I appreciate the opinions of others on if they liked it or not. All i know is I like mine and was curious if the haters out there had one on the shelf that they would sell cheap since they hated them. There are so many variables with tires, everyone's experience will be different. Mine was great and we see two very extreme examples of opposite experience. Froggy got 20,000, but we know he can hypermile better than anyone, which means no hard acceleration or braking. Ft Bastard, be real, you either had a flawed tire, or some crazy burnouts. Any tire that dies under 2,000 miles has to be questioned, But I can understand your disappointment. So the original question, anyone seen any available, or have one for sale? I'm gonna order a Scorpion Trail before Sturgis if I don't find one. Thanks guys! The feedback kicks ass. |

One follow up question. I had no issues with the strada front tire. I even have one on the shelf new. Should I see any issues with a Scorpion trail on the back and a new strada out front? I won't be busting any dirt roads, so this will be 95% tar usage. Thanks again! |

I don't see any problems mix and matching particularly with the same manufacturer. I'm sure purist will state that if you do so you will surely die, though. |
