Ok this is not an easy task without the proper tools. I had to make my repair away from my home tool box so it made this task way more than a Sunday afternoon task. Also there was no beer involved with this job so I was 0 for 2 right off the bat,
Fit was spot on and the detail on the piece was great. The shaft is girthy compare to the stock. Yeah I said girthy go ahead and laugh
now my problem is well beyond what I thought it would be. i thought the screw didn't get ingested but i was way wrong. I had a 50% chance of picking the correct cylinder to open up. I chose the rear just cause I have never rotated my engine and lucky or unlucky me I chose right. That little screw was smashed into the head and squeezed the upper ring in the piston so it couldn't float.
While I wait on parts to reassemble the rear cylinder I was hoping some on the board could help me out with a old copy of the software to do a TPS reset. I had it and saved it but that was one deployment and 2 laptops ago. I know the TPS reset is a must with the newer shaft and I can't find a old copy anyplace.

I have an '07 (build date: Sept '06). I *think* I have a saved, functioning copy of my ECM just after I bought the bike in the fall of '09.

I'm about 98% sure its here on an external hard drive. Lemme know if it would do.

Dave, e-mail sent with ecmspy. I hope I got enough of the files for it to work. Let me know if it doesn't. I'm not exactly computer savvy!!
Sorry to hear about the mess. Rotating engines and mashed pistons just suck, but working without a beer!!!
