With all the new ULY owners I thought I'd bring this back to see the light of day. Mine works as well as the day I made it and I still look at it most every time I get off the bike.
Here's a photo tutorial on how to build your own and even where to get the temp probe.

My orignal Electraglider temp probe dipstick has logged thoundsands of miles on two different Ulys and still works good.

Despite all my attempts, mine leaked to the point that I switched to the Dark Horse one from American Sport Bike. Well worth the $8.22 I got it for second hand on ebay!

Froggy,
The only ways that unit would leak would have been if you tightened or loosened it in the hole using the bezel of the temp probe instead of the 3 prongs of the original dipstick. Or if it leaked around the original dipstick threads then I'd gladly replace it at my expense. Let me know.
