Author Message   7873jake Posted on Saturday, July 09, 2011 - 04:40 pm:        I've had to re-dress the wiring in my harness in places around the ECM (was ruling out wire damage before determining my ECM was cracked), behind the fly screen and in other areas. When I used it, I could not tell where the old tape ended and the new tape started. Just sayin"" I thought that friction tape, like the kind used on our bikes, was cotton-based - that doesn't sound very fire retardant to me. I have no experience in any of those tapes I listed. Only giving you places to investigate. I've worked with friction tape before on other work projects and kinda felt like when I realized that I coulda just done that.
