I like. The "wavy" effect- is this production induced or a characteristic of the camera combined with vibes through the mount or? |

Nice video, can you show a pic of the mount. I love my GoPro. What editing software are you using? Thanks. |

That jello effect is a combination of the cheap camera sensor GoPro uses plus vibrations of the bike http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rolling_shutter |

Unfortunately, the waves are as Froggy says a combination of the camera and the V-Twin. I used iMovie for this edit. The switch to control the pan of the camera is located in front of my front brake. This was the first test, so the switch was held in place with small bungees. I have a solution for absorbing the vibrations and isolating the camera, but will not have time before I ride through Yosemite next week. Will post videos of that! Will include stills and/or videos of the mount too. |

I like the mount creativity! I've had good results putting the cam on the lower left side of the helmet (Vids from the top of the helmet are too extreme)... minimizes the vibes, gives the p-o-v of the rider, can look around optionally for the viewer, can see the bike move underneath, one mount/any bike, etc. Anyway, an example... http://youtu.be/oPxoMDU0L_A Been trying out the GoPro 3D system lately. Need red/cyan glasses and best seen in 720p... http://youtu.be/5Lkd3PzdYfs |

Mine is fitted on a steer damper mount, it's quite stable and hardly any vibration. |

Hey Nigel, neat vid. What'd you do to get that dreamy effect around the edges of the lens? Vaseline or something? Neat effect! Love the panning ability. Hope you are able to get rid of the jello effect. I've read a polarizing lens will eliminate some of it. |

Sharkguy - that filter is an optional filter in iMovie. That particular one is called 'Romantic.' |

Any sort of pictures of said device? Maybe a "do it yourself kit" is in the works? |

Unfortunately, I live in Los Angeles. This means that I'm very sensitive to the fact that there are too many greedy lawyers in this world. For example, I tell you how to make this device. You build it, install it on your bike and promptly crash. Regardless of the cause, I guarantee there's plenty of lawyers that would somehow try to blame me for your accident, regardless of the circumstances. However, I will tell you that I purchased 1.5" ABS pipe + fittings and 7 hose clamps from a local hardware store, a battery box (2 x AA), 6ft of wire, a DPDT switch from Radio Shack, 2 bearings from wherever you can find them and 2 Tamiya Planetary Gear Kits from any electronics/hobby store. Now by watching the video and reading this shopping list, you should be able to figure something out. I must caution anyone that intends to do this (against my advice) that riding a motorcycle alone is the definition of multi-tasking. Adding controlled videography to the mix is not as easy as you might think and could cause you to fly off the edge of a mountain while trying to get that perfect shot. Anyway - good luck and keep the rubber side down. |

Amen to too many greedy lawyers. One of the best vanity plates I ever saw was "H8 LWYRS". The plate frame was inscribed "Blood Sucking Leeches". I'm guessing it was a costly divorce. |
