Well the mods have started, lol. I have, as with my 06 bike, found the bars a bit wide for me and cut 25mm off each end. This works better with tight traffic stuff and makes for a less "arms spread" feeling on the bike. The heated grips are nice. Not fat or with thick/stiff cables. The Scorpion rubber is ok on the road but not as good as PR2s. I can feel the profile and heavy tread/blocks of the Scorps on the road. Mine are also a little squared off at 3k miles which does not help any. I guess they would make a good road/green lane tyre though. The engine feels strangled (CAT) with the OEM can and it does not sound good. Not what a v-twin should be. |

If you mean CATalytic converter, it doesn't have one. Several dyno tests from a few years ago comparing popular aftermarket exhausts to OEM showed just how good the factory muffler really is. Do you hear the exhaust valve open under a load around 4k rpm? It gets noticeably louder as the gas path is shortened through the open valve. I like the narrowed bars idea. I've clipped a few cage mirrors while filtering. |
