I've lowered my '06 Uly about 1 3/4 with a Mizu kit and a shorter spring. I'm real happy with it, but need to shorten the kickstand. Should I look for one from an XT or other model? Is there an aftermarket adjustable version? Has anyone cut and threaded the stock kickstand?

If you can weld, just cut a chunk out of your stock one. Other than that, the XT stand will bolt right on. You probably are still too tall to get good use out of a Lightning/Firebolt stand.

Thanks. Since I don't have a welder I will look for an XT sidestand.

The XT stand should work fine. I think the XT stand is a little short for the XT. I was thinking about adding a piece and making it a little longer.

or you could use a bolt or something matching the interior daimeter of the kickstand tube and drill and pin some holes to keep it all together.

or stop by your local muffler shop. they should be able to weld it up for you for a fistfull of dollars.
