The Police have closed my case, in less than 7 days, and did not even bother to visit me so that was a big effort from them. Mind you thats thats the norm these days in the UK. Of the crime, done to me in 30 years, all I have ever had was a "we are sorry you have been a victim of crime" letter from the London Police. I have even had someone try to mug me for my jacket but "God forbid" you drop a bit of litter or have a dirty number plate? Its close to treason in the UK.

I am tired. So veeeeeery tried of all the crap.

That sucks, Uly man.

Not that it helps to soften the blow of losing a bike you love, but have you heard anything positive from your insurance company regarding a settlement?

Seems to be getting more and more like that here too. Social Justice seems to mean that if you have something, you must allow someone who doesn't have it to take it from you.

Uly_Man, my heart goes out to you! I understand and feel your pain. Been the victim of two truck thefts myself. I hope you will start to feel better, and get another bike. Wish there was some way to help out. Wish you could move to a better area.

They used to hang a man for stealing a horse.

I believe it should be the same today. Yes I am serious. Yes, I'm willing to look in their eyes and pull the trigger, latch, push the button, etc. A persons transportation is their lively hood. Their freedom. We should defend both to the death. If we truly made people pay, and pay severely maybe things would be better.

Never had a vehicle stolen, but a couple years ago I had the dash ripped apart and stereo system stolen out of an S-15 I owned at the time.

Always considered myself lucky. Fixing the dash and replacing the CD player was a lot cheaper than what a couple rounds of birdshot would have done to the interior had I caught them in the act.

Sorry Uly_Man. I empathize with you, Man. So many cruds out there these days that most know the police will let them run free and screw people because there are 'bigger' cruds demanding police attention. Best to you.

They used to hang a man for stealing a horse.

That's my sentiments exactly. If someone stole my wife I'd be justified in shooting them. Why not what I ride every day?

Speaking of stealing, I see they caught the Biker Thief over there in Vegas Nic. I heard he was driving a black motorcycle and I immediately thought of you! Glad to see you're still online.

They caught the bastard. Too bad the punishment isn't castration like he deserved.

Right back at you Greg. It was really nice to meet you in person. If you ever need a place to stay in these parts, you're always welcome here.

You to Nicholas. Someday I do want to go riding in those hills over there by you, or the canyon. If you're ever in the cities, I've got some parts for ya!

Ulyman,
The U.S.A. has room for another Brit so come on over. Can't claim that our cops would put any effort into a stolen motorcycle either but at least you would never run out of places you haven't ridden to over here. I had a bike stolen once and actually got it back a few days later a little worse for wear. Since then, I never leave my bike outside overnight except when I'm real close in my tent camping. Plenty of low life thieves the world over. Chin up man.
