I finally got out last weekend and put a few hundred miles on my new tires and was wondering what others using the Scorpion Trail are using for tire pressure. I'm using 40r and 38f, I'm about 210 in gear and carry another 30+ pounds of crap on the bike. So far I really like the tires and they seem to be a improvement over the Diablos in every way. | ||

I currently am running 47 front and 49 in the rear cold, it feels good so far. The pressure goes up to about 50f and 54r once I am underway, so far so good. | ||

That seems pretty high Froggy. I seem to recall you saying you ran the OEM tires past the Buell recommended pressure to get better gas mileage. Any other reason? Anyone know why Buell would list a much lower pressure then the max pressure listed on the sidewalls of the tire? | ||

I guess the manual list of 36 psi for the rear is not much lower. 42 psi Max listed on the rear Trails' sidewall. | ||

I'm running 40 front and 42 rear on mine. Working well so far. | ||

Thanks for the response, I ran 36f and 38 rear on the Diablos, the Trails are a heavier tire and the max air is higher at 42 lbs. so I guess I'll bump up the pressure a couple of pounds and see how it feels. Thanks. |
