Thanks

I have the same problem. Every time I get on the throttle hard my front end gets light also.

Sorry, could not resist.

Not sure on a real answer.

Take the cases of beer out of your saddlebags?

OR

Adjust the front suspension to make it a bit softer?

If removing the cases of beer or less torque on throttle dont work...Look at your owners manual around suspension set up pages. It discusses the 'quick steering' option by changing preload.

Roll your bars forward and stand up on the pegs!

This is, after two years of trying to set the suspension up, what I found.

1) Do not trust the book suspension numbers and only use them as a base for adjustment.

2) The suspension is fully adjustable and the commpresion/rebound adjustment only needs small amounts to be effective. It is easy to get confused about what is going on unless you know what should be going on with the suspension.

3) The front tyre is best set at 36PSI from cold, at any rider weight, and you must then warm the tyre before any front adjustments are made.

4) The suspension is very good and it will give you what you want. Also the bike needs good rubber to perform well.

5) Changing from one type of rubber to another can effect handling. Re adjust suspension as needed.

6) If you are getting that scary front end problem, at about 80mph, try taking of the hand guards and then re-adjusting the suspension.

My bike had all these problems. A little extra oil in the forks and taking off the hand guards fixed it. So how well?

It would ride over speed humps/big holes in the road, at 30mph, and I would hardly notice them. Be no problem at 120 and only a slight lightness passing through 90ish. Stable and predictable handling in bends with great feedback.

USE THE 07 FRONT SUSPENSION SETTINGS.

I put 07 springs in my 06 and it handled like poo until I changed to the 07 settings.

Rat, What are the 07 settings? I've only got an 06 manual.
I've got the 07 springs on my 06.

My front end has felt extra light since installing the XB9 primary gearing. I think the 12 sprocket/rotor must weigh an awful lot more than the 9.
