If you have the comfort kit it is no big deal to not have the little snap in cover. They were a fairly lame attempt(band-aid) at getting heat away from the rider's legs. The real cure was the comfort kit. From my experience, these little deflectors are no longer a necessary item. However it seems the dealer does owe it to you if they lost or broke it. I felt the underseat area(ecm) was getting really hot and needed some airflow or an escape route for the heat, which the guides block, or at least lessen. Just my two cents, but it might be something to think about.
