And they passed with flying hi viz green colors!

30% chance of rain starting at 2 or so, so packed the new frogg toggs horny toads in the side case of the X. "Just in case". Well, boy was I glad I did. Not only did I stay bone dry, but I got to test them out before getting out on the road with them.

As soon as we got out onto the range, at 10:45-ish, the skies opened up. 2 p.m. my butt, mr. weatherman. It was looking gloomy out as I was finishing classroom, so I put the toggs on, and was ready. Not only ready, I was excited to try these bad boys out.

For coaching: Excellent! Plenty of pockets, range cards tuck right into the inside jacket pocket. Cell phone fits in other pocket. I have more pocket space available if students have an "oops, I forgot I had this and oh crap its pouring out" moment and are in need a dry place to stow their phones.

For riding: No issues with seepage while I was zipping thru puddles on the training bikes, everything stayed bone dry. For scooting around on the training range, I recently got a pair of very military looking desert combat guide gear side zip boots from sportsmans guide and they kept my feet bone dry. I put the odd looking bright orange Aerostitch three finger glove covers over my range gloves, they did their job keeping my gloves dry as well. Topped off the whole ensemble with my new "mountain woman" hat, a Columbia titanium omni tech waterproof/breathable hat, water rolled off it, so life was good.

Looking forward to testing the toggs at road speed in the rain. When I wear the jacket for extra visibility, an extra layer, or protection from soggy fog, it gets a little puffy. Will keep y'all posted!

BeLinda.
