just giving an update on the Continental Conti-motion rear I had installed last week after about 500 miles.
They are so much better than the rear Shinko Raven that was on there before the Conti.
Has anyone else ever used this tire, what kind of mileage can I expect out of it?
I got just shy of 7000 miles out of the Raven and over 9000 miles on the Scorpion Sync.
The rear Raven always wandered around even on dirt, which gave the bike a very unstable feel. It also had to be pushed into the turns which wasn't cool.
The Contimotion is the opposite, turns in very smooth and inspires confidence with traction even on dirt roads.
so far so good but we will see....

I just got my bike a month ago, but it has the same tires. Not a good dirt tire IMO, but its great on the street. Have ridden some sandy beach roads without any issues, but not willing to hit fire roads with it just yet.

I wore a hole through a D616 coming back from Buelltoberfest, and a ContiMotion was the least expensive tire they had in stock to get me the 400 miles home.

Did most of those 400 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Impressive tire, good grip, great transisions.

First thing I did when I got home though was put a new D616 on. I wouldn't even think of taking the Conti off pavement...and my Uly spends a good bit of time off-pavement.

This Conti Motion has just over 5k on it. I fitted it last October and just returned from an Alpine Pass running weekend yesterday. In fairness, this tire has had an honest 2.5k miles of extreme lean angle (shorter footpegs to prove it) and full throttle corner exits, uphill. That said I won't be replacing with Conti this time.

Conti Motion at 5k miles

Wow. Mine has 1300 miles on it and looks like new. I don't ride the snot out of my bike either though. I've heard more bad things about the 616's than good. When I replace these I'll be putting on the Sync's just so it can hit something besides tarmac.
